Café Tycho Brahe

The Café Tycho Brahe opened in May 2003, in one of the small 19th century houses in connection with the site. This house was built approximately 1825, and by the middle of the 1800's a thatcher by the name of Karl Jönsson lived in it. In 1926, the Royal Historical and Antiquity Acacemy took over the property and used it as a house for the caretaker at the Tycho Brahe Heritage.

The property has been thoroughly renovated and rebuilt by the National Property Board, with support from the European Union (Islands). The Café has room for approximately 40 guests, and the outdoor area has room for another 80. The Café is open when the Tycho Brahe Heritage is open.
